A new version (130221) of SlackEX 14.0 64bit Xfce4 Live USB is ready
New features in version 130221 of SlackEX (compared with the previous version from 121014):
The system is now for 64bit computers. Nowadays the IA-32 arch is more or less obsolete, at least for desktop machines, and superseded by the x86-64 architecture. I have upgraded the kernel to version 3.7.8 (3.7.8-exton). Continue reading

exGENT (Gentoo) 32bit Linux Live CD
I’ve made a new version (130215) of exGENT, which is based on Gentoo. The old version of exGENT is from 120814. My new exGENT Linux live system uses LXDE as Desktop Environment and my “special” genkernel 3.5.7-gentoo-exton. LXDE is used because of its speed. The system language is English. Quite new is that I’ve found a suitable installation program, in which a Grub installation (Grub Legacy) is included. Continue reading
