The system is a remaster of Ubuntu 13.10 – codenamed Saucy Salamander, released on October 17, 2013. The original system includes the Desktop Environment Unity 7.1 (Ubuntu). I have added LXDE, Mate 1.6.0, Razor-qt 0.4.1 and XBMC 12.0 (An award-winning free and open source (GPL) software media player and entertainment hub for digital media) as alternatives, so that everyone on the spot (during live operation) can compare the different five Desktop Environments. The system language is ENGLISH.
I have corrected some minor errors. LFA is now more stable than ever. All packages have been upgraded to the latest version by 140306.
Who is LFA for?
All who like Ubuntu/Debian. In addition, anyone who wants to run a Linux system from an USB stick and saving system changes on the stick. A hard disk installation thus becomes “unnecessary”. Especially as you can run LFA super fast in RAM. (You’ll need then at least 2 GB of RAM in your computer). Furthermore, anyone who wants a “ready to go” Linux system. “All” necessary programs are pre-installed in LFA. The LFA ISO-file is of 1610 MB. Ubuntu original is of about 900 MB.
